Why RKG Timbers
Our Advantage. Built on control, not luck.
Anyone can sell timber. Fewer can guarantee the same grain, grade, and delivery date on the tenth order that they promised on the first. That consistency is what we've built our advantage around.
We control the chain, not just the sale
Most timber traders buy opportunistically off the spot market, which means quality and pricing shift lot to lot. We hold direct sourcing relationships with mills abroad and domestic suppliers instead, so the species and grade you order this quarter matches what you ordered last quarter — no surprises when the truck arrives.
Grading happens before it becomes your problem
Every consignment is hand-graded on arrival at our yard for grain, knots, moisture, and warping — before it's released to stock, not after a complaint. Contractors and dealers who've been burned by inconsistent lots elsewhere are usually the ones who stay with us longest.
Pricing that reflects a leaner supply chain
Cutting out unnecessary middle layers between mill and buyer means we can hold pricing that's competitive without cutting corners on grading. We're upfront about what a lot costs and why, rather than quoting low and adjusting later.
