Kiln Dried. Stability that lasts.
Moisture-controlled drying that takes timber down to a stable target moisture content — so it holds its shape and dimensions long after it's left our yard and gone into your build.
Why moisture control matters
Timber that isn't properly dried keeps moving after installation — warping, cupping, or splitting as it slowly loses moisture on site. Kiln drying front-loads that process under controlled conditions, so the timber you receive has already stabilised.
Our drying process
Sawn stock is loaded into kiln chambers where temperature and humidity are controlled through a scheduled cycle, brought down gradually to avoid stress-cracking. Moisture content is checked with a meter before any batch is cleared for dispatch.
Where kiln-dried stock is used
This is the default choice for furniture-grade work, flooring, doors, and window frames — anywhere dimensional stability matters more than raw cost. For structural framing where movement is less critical, air-dried or green stock can be a more economical choice.
