Ecuador Teak. Fast-grown, tightly managed.
Ecuador has become one of the world's largest sources of plantation-grown teak, and the volume shows in how tightly the sector is run — well-documented rotations, consistent log diameters, and a supply chain built for export from the start.
Why Ecuadorian plantations run so consistently
Ecuador's teak sector is dominated by large-scale, professionally managed plantations rather than smallholder plots, which means rotation ages, thinning schedules, and harvest documentation are far more standardised than in many other origins. That translates into shipments with less variation from container to container.
Where it's used
Ecuador teak's fast growth gives it a slightly lighter density than old-growth stock, which suits furniture manufacturing and interior joinery particularly well, alongside its established use in outdoor decking and cladding.
